Partner With African Broadway

Bring African Stories to Your Community

Partner with African Broadway to present powerful African stories through musical theatre, music, storytelling, and live performance.

African Broadway creates and presents theatrical experiences rooted in African culture, contemporary African life, and the diverse experiences of the African Diaspora.

We partner with theatres, performing arts organizations, cultural institutions, community organizations, educational institutions, festivals, and other organizations that want to bring this work to their audiences.

We believe great partnerships make great art possible.

Have a theatre, cultural program, community audience, or creative idea you’d like to explore with us? We’d love to hear from you.

Let’s Present Something Together

African Broadway is interested in building partnerships that make meaningful African storytelling more accessible to audiences.

A partnership does not have to look like a traditional theatre rental. Every project is different, and we are open to flexible partnership structures, including co-presenting, subsidized presentations, box-office partnerships, and free community programming.

Depending on the project and the needs of our partners, we can explore:

Co-Presenting

Work with African Broadway to bring a production, concert, staged reading, or other theatrical program to your audience.

Our partners may provide the performance space and institutional support while African Broadway leads the artistic production.

Venue Partnerships

Have a theatre or performance space?

Rather than simply renting the space, let’s explore whether your organization could become a presenting partner for an African Broadway production.

Community Presentations

Looking for meaningful programming for your community?

We can develop or present programming designed specifically for your audience, including performances, concerts, staged excerpts, artist conversations, and cultural programming.

Box Office Partnerships

For ticketed productions, we can explore mutually beneficial box-office arrangements that allow both organizations to participate in the success of the presentation.

Subsidized Presentations

A partner provides subsidized access to its space or resources to make the work possible.

Free & Accessible Programming

We are also open to partnerships that make performances available to the public at no cost or at a reduced ticket price.

This can be particularly meaningful for community, cultural, educational, and public-facing programs.

Educational & Cultural Partnerships

Our work can also be adapted for schools, universities, libraries, cultural organizations, and community programs through performances, workshops, discussions, and artist engagement.

Festival & Series Programming

African Broadway productions or excerpts can become part of an existing festival, cultural series, or performing arts season.

What African Broadway Brings

When we partner with an organization, we bring more than a performance.

Depending on the project, African Broadway can provide:

Artistic Programming

Original musical theatre, concerts, staged readings, storytelling, and other performance experiences.

African Artists & Creatives

Access to singers, musicians, actors, writers, composers, directors, and other African and African Diasporic artists.

Production Leadership

Artistic direction and production coordination to bring the project from concept to stage.

Cultural Storytelling

Programming grounded in African experiences, traditions, contemporary realities, and the diverse cultures of the continent and Diaspora.

Audience Engagement

Opportunities to connect the performance with conversations, community programming, artist interactions, or educational experiences.

Marketing Collaboration

Opportunities for African Broadway and our partners to jointly promote the presentation to our respective audiences.
